KiraKira - Bill Splitter

Finally, a bill splitter that understands Malaysian receipts. Snap a photo and KiraKira’s AI reads the items, tells 6% from 8% SST, handles the service charge (even when the wine bottle is exempt), catches promos and rounding — and reconciles to the sen against your printed total. Assign dishes to friends with a tap, share dishes fairly, and send one beautiful bill photo to the group chat showing exactly who pays what and where to pay: your DuitNow, Touch ’n Go or bank account, right on the bill.

KiraKira — Terms of Use

Effective Date: 26 September 2026
Last Updated: 26 September 2026

0. Relationship to Other Documents
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of KiraKira (the “Service”), operated by Flawu Solutions (Business Registration No. 202303165251 (PG0544220-W)) (“Flawu Solutions”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms should be read together with our Terms of Service, which describes how specific features work, and our Privacy Notice, which describes how we handle personal data. On matters of general conduct, intellectual property, liability, and governing law, these Terms of Use prevail; on matters specific to how a feature functions, the Terms of Service prevail.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using KiraKira, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What KiraKira Is; The Two Versions
KiraKira lets you split a bill among a group of people item by item, automatically applying Malaysia’s Sales and Service Tax (SST) and service charge, with an optional AI-assisted feature that reads a photographed receipt and fills in the details for you. KiraKira also displays payment details (such as DuitNow or bank transfer information) that you choose to enter, so participants can settle up directly with each other — KiraKira itself never touches that money.
The Service is available in two forms, and these Terms cover both:
(a) Web version — a web-based application accessed through your browser. It is entirely free, contains no in-app payments, and its AI scanning runs on your own Anthropic/Claude account.
(b) Mobile app (iOS and Android) — native applications for iPhone and for Android devices. Its core features are free; it includes a limited free AI-scanning allowance funded by us, with optional one-time paid scan packs and an optional tip feature, both processed through the in-app purchase system of the app store you installed it from: Apple’s In-App Purchase system on iOS (Apple Inc.), or Google Play Billing on Android (Google) (each, your “App Store Provider”).
Where these Terms say something applies to only one version, that is stated expressly; everything else applies to both.
3. No Account Required; How Your Data Is Stored
KiraKira does not require you to register or create an account with us.
Web version — your bills, splits, and saved friends are stored within that specific published version’s own storage. This storage is tied to the version you’re using and does not automatically carry over when we publish an update, or when you move to the mobile app.
Mobile app — this same information is stored locally on your own device and is not transmitted to or held on our servers. If backup is turned on for your device, your device’s operating system may include this information in a backup to your own Apple or Google account and restore it when you reinstall the app or set up a new device; that backup is controlled by your device settings and your account with Apple or Google, not by us, and we never receive it.
Because your data lives with the version you’re using rather than in a central account, clearing your device storage, switching devices, or moving between the web version and the mobile app may cause saved bills or friends not to carry over, unless your mobile app data is restored from a device backup.
4. Free to Use; AI Scanning; Paid Scan Packs
KiraKira’s core bill-splitting features are free in both versions, and you can always enter bill details manually, without limit. The AI-assisted receipt scanning feature works as follows:
(a) Web version — scanning may run on your own Anthropic/Claude usage, subject to Anthropic’s own usage limits and terms — this is between you and Anthropic, and not something we control or are responsible for. We do not charge for anything in the web version.
(b) Mobile app — scanning is funded by us and free up to a set number of scans per device each month (currently 5), enforced on our own servers. We may adjust this limit at any time, including lowering it, without needing to update the app itself. If you want more scans, the mobile app offers optional one-time scan packs, purchased through your App Store Provider’s in-app purchase system — full terms, and how balances behave (including after a reinstall), are set out in the Terms of Service, §5.
5. Tips (“Treat a Kopi”)
Some versions of KiraKira let you send a small, entirely voluntary tip to us. Tips are processed entirely outside KiraKira — through your App Store Provider’s in-app purchase system on the mobile app, or by third-party payment channels where offered on the web version. They unlock nothing and are non-refundable except as required by law. Full tipping terms are set out in the Terms of Service, §6.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use KiraKira for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure, including its scan limits and purchase-crediting mechanisms; (c) use the AI scanning feature to process anything other than genuine receipts; or (d) misrepresent your identity or purchase history when sending a tip, making a purchase, requesting a balance restoration, or otherwise communicating with us.
7. Intellectual Property
KiraKira’s name, logo, design, and underlying code (excluding open-source components, which remain governed by their own licenses) belong to Flawu Solutions. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial bill-splitting needs; you may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the Service itself.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers to function, including:
Anthropic, PBC — processes receipt images for AI-assisted scanning.
Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the backend that relays scan requests, enforces free-scan limits, and maintains purchased scan balances (mobile app only).
RevenueCat, Inc., Apple Inc. and Google — validate and process in-app purchases such as tips and scan packs (mobile app only).
WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — only when you actively choose to share a pre-filled bill summary; we do not use the WhatsApp Business API or send anything on your behalf without that action.
These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for.
9. Disclaimers
KiraKira is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no guarantee that AI-detected receipt items, tax rates, or totals are accurate or complete — always check the bill against the printed receipt before relying on it, and see the Terms of Service §4 for our specific disclaimer on Malaysian SST calculations. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: errors in AI-detected receipt data or SST/service-charge calculations; disputes between you and other bill participants over amounts owed; your own Anthropic usage costs or rate-limit consequences when using the web version; the acts, omissions, outages, fees, or errors of any bank, e-wallet, payment platform, or of Apple or Google, through which you send a tip or make a purchase, including failed, delayed, or misdirected transfers; loss of a purchased scan balance following deletion or reinstallation of the mobile app, beyond the restoration assistance described in the Terms of Service §5; and any outage, change, or discontinuation of a third-party service listed in §8. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service, however arising, will not exceed RM100 in total.
11. Availability; Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including free-scan limits and the availability of scan packs or tips, at any time. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of material changes where practical, but are not obligated to. Changes to scan-pack pricing or availability apply prospectively only and do not reduce a scan balance you have already purchased.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We’ll update the “Last Updated” date above when we do.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, including for violating these Terms. Because most data lives on your own device or in the version-specific web storage, terminating your access does not affect data you’ve already saved locally.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
15. General Provisions
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

KiraKira - Terms of Service

Effective Date: 26 September 2026
Last Updated: 26 September 2026

0. Relationship to Other Documents
These Terms of Service supplement and should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Notice. Where there’s a conflict on how a specific feature works, these Terms of Service prevail.
1. Description of the Service; Versions
KiraKira is a bill-splitting tool operated by Flawu Solutions (Business Registration No. 202303165251 (PG0544220-W)) (“Flawu Solutions”, “we”, “us”, “our”), available as a web-based application (currently v1.4) and as native mobile applications for iOS and Android. It lets you:
(a) create a bill and split it among participants, item by item;
(b) apply Malaysia’s SST (6% or 8%, as applicable) and service charge automatically or by manual selection;
(c) use an AI-assisted feature to scan a photographed or uploaded receipt and extract items, prices, and rates automatically;
(d) view a payback summary showing who owes whom, together with payment details (e.g. DuitNow, bank transfer) you choose to display; and
(e) generate a shareable bill image and a pre-filled WhatsApp message.
The web version is entirely free and contains no in-app payments. The mobile app, available for iOS and Android, is free to use, with two optional paid elements: one-time scan packs (§5) and voluntary tips (§6), both processed exclusively through the in-app purchase system of the app store you installed it from — Apple’s In-App Purchase system on iOS, or Google Play Billing on Android (each, your “App Store Provider”).
2. How the Service Works
KiraKira does not require an account and does not operate a central database of your bills.
Web version — your bills, splits, and saved friends are stored within that specific published version’s own storage. This storage is tied to the version you’re using — it is not shared across different published versions of the web app, and does not automatically carry over when we publish an update.
Mobile app — this same information is stored locally on your device, in the app’s own storage, and is not transmitted to or held on our servers. If backup is turned on for your device, your device’s operating system may include this information — together with your Device ID and any payment QR image you have saved — in a backup to your own Apple or Google account, and restore it when you reinstall the app or set up a new device. That backup is controlled by your device settings and your account with Apple or Google, not by us, and we never receive it. The app holds an anonymous device identifier (your “Device ID”, visible under Settings), which our backend uses solely to track scan allowances and purchased scan balances.
In both cases, we only see your bill data if you affirmatively choose to share it with us — for example, by contacting us for support.
3. AI-Assisted Receipt Scanning
If you use the receipt-scanning feature, the photo you provide is sent to Anthropic, PBC for processing, to extract items, prices, tax rates, and totals.
Web version — this typically runs through your own Anthropic/Claude account and is subject to Anthropic’s own terms, usage limits, and data handling practices.
Mobile app — this runs through our own backend (hosted on Cloudflare) and our own Anthropic account, so no Anthropic account of your own is needed. We do not retain the receipt image ourselves once it’s processed; Anthropic processes it under its own terms — see our Privacy Notice.
We do not guarantee that AI-extracted items, rates, or totals are accurate or complete. Always review the results against your printed receipt before relying on them.
4. Malaysian SST and Service Charge Calculations
KiraKira applies SST rates — currently 6% for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and 8% for alcoholic beverages and most other taxable services — and service charge, based on either your own selection or the AI scanner’s best assessment of the receipt. These rates and rules reflect Malaysia’s Sales and Service Tax framework as we understand it at the time of each app update, and Malaysian tax law and rates can change. We make reasonable efforts to keep KiraKira’s calculations current, but we do not guarantee that the rates or rules built into any given version of the Service reflect the most recent legal requirements, and KiraKira is not a substitute for professional tax or accounting advice. If you notice a mismatch between KiraKira’s calculation and current SST law, please let us know at [email protected].
5. Free Scans and Paid Scan Packs (Mobile App)
This section applies to the mobile app only. The web version has no scan limit imposed by us beyond your own Anthropic account’s usage limits, and nothing in this section applies to it.
(a) Free monthly allowance. AI scanning in the mobile app is free up to a set number of scans per device each month (currently 5), funded by us and enforced on our backend. The allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month. We may apply an overall daily ceiling across all users to manage our own costs. We may change these limits at any time, including lowering them, without releasing an app update. Manual entry of bill items is always free and unlimited, whether or not any scans remain.
(b) Scan packs offered. Where scan pack purchases are available in the mobile app, the price displayed in the app at the time of purchase is the price that applies.
(c) One-time purchases — not subscriptions. Scan packs are one-time consumable purchases. They are not subscriptions: nothing renews automatically, and no recurring charges of any kind arise from buying a pack.
(d) How purchased scans behave. Purchased scans are added to your device’s scan balance and are used only after your free monthly allowance for that month is exhausted. Purchased scans do not expire and do not reset monthly. They unlock nothing else — every other feature of KiraKira is identical whether or not you buy a pack.
(e) Payment processing. Scan packs are purchased exclusively through your App Store Provider’s in-app purchase system, under that provider’s own terms and conditions. We do not accept any other payment method for scan packs, and we never receive or store your card or payment details.
(f) Balances are tied to your Device ID; restoration. Your scan balance is linked to your Device ID, an anonymous identifier created when the app is first installed. If your app data is restored from a device backup (see §2), your Device ID — and with it your remaining balance — will normally carry over; a Device ID restored onto more than one device shares a single allowance and balance. If you delete and reinstall the app, or move to a new device, and your app data is not restored from a backup, a new Device ID is generated and your remaining purchased balance will not transfer automatically. If this happens, contact us at [email protected] with your purchase receipt (your Apple receipt, or your Google Play order number beginning “GPA.”) and your new Device ID (shown under Settings), and we will make reasonable efforts to restore your remaining balance, subject to verification. Each purchase can be restored once. To avoid any doubt: this restoration process is a goodwill support measure, not an automatic entitlement. The app itself has no “restore purchases” function; because scan packs are consumable purchases, restoration outside a device backup is handled only through the support process described above.
(g) Refunds. Refunds for scan packs are handled by your App Store Provider under its own refund policies. On iOS, refunds are handled by Apple, and we are not able to process them directly. On Android, you may request a refund through Google Play within the period Google Play allows for in-app purchases (currently 48 hours from purchase); after that period, we do not issue refunds ourselves. Except where required by applicable law or granted by your App Store Provider, purchases are non-refundable. If a purchase is completed but the scans are not added to your balance, contact us at [email protected] with your purchase receipt and Device ID, and once the purchase is verified we will credit the missing scans.
(h) Changes. We may change scan pack sizes, prices, or availability at any time. Any such change applies prospectively only and does not reduce a balance you have already purchased.
6. Tips (“Treat a Kopi”)
KiraKira is, and remains, free to use. The Service may include an optional feature allowing you to send a small tip to Flawu Solutions if you’ve found KiraKira useful.
(a) Entirely voluntary. Tips are voluntary gratuities. They do not unlock any features, remove any limits, add any scans, or entitle you to any goods, services, support, or preferential treatment. KiraKira functions identically whether or not you tip.
(b) How tips are processed. On the mobile app, tips are made exclusively through your App Store Provider’s in-app purchase system, in accordance with that provider’s rules — we do not accept tips through any external payment method within the mobile app. On the web version, where a tipping option is offered, it operates entirely through third-party payment channels linked or displayed in the app; KiraKira itself never receives, transmits, or stores your banking, card, or e-wallet credentials. Your use of any payment channel or of your App Store Provider’s purchase system is governed by that provider’s own terms.
(c) Non-refundable. Tips are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or granted by your App Store Provider under its own policies (on Android, this includes a refund requested through Google Play within the period Google Play allows; after that period, we do not issue refunds ourselves). If you believe you’ve made a payment in error, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll provide reasonable assistance, but any reversal ultimately depends on the relevant payment provider’s or App Store Provider’s own processes.
(d) No purchase; no relationship created. A tip is not a purchase of goods or services, a subscription, a donation to charity, or an investment, and does not create any contractual entitlement, agency, partnership, or other relationship beyond these Terms.
7. No Payment Processing Between Users
KiraKira is a convenience tool only. Any DuitNow, bank, or other payment details you display in the Payback section are for your own participants’ reference — KiraKira does not hold, transfer, process, or guarantee any payment between users. All actual settling-up happens directly between the people involved, outside the Service.
8. Availability; Changes to the Service
We may add, change, or remove features — including free-scan limits, scan pack availability, and tip availability — at any time. We are not liable for any interruption, error, or unavailability of the Service, including where caused by a third-party provider listed in the Terms of Use §8.
9. Limitation of Liability
In addition to the limitation of liability in our Terms of Use, we are specifically not liable for: inaccuracies in AI-extracted receipt data or in SST/service-charge calculations under any version of Malaysian tax law; the acts, omissions, outages, fees, or errors of any bank, e-wallet, payment platform, or of Apple or Google, through which you send a tip or make a purchase, including failed, delayed, or misdirected transfers; loss of a purchased scan balance following deletion or reinstallation of the app, beyond the restoration assistance described in §5(f); and your own Anthropic account’s usage costs or rate limits when using the web version. As set out in the Terms of Use §10, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims will not exceed RM100 in total.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, on the same basis as set out in our Terms of Use §14.

KiraKira - Privacy Notice

Effective Date: 26 September 2026
Last Updated: 26 September 2026

1. Who We Are
KiraKira is operated by Flawu Solutions (Business Registration No. 202303165251 (PG0544220-W)) (“Flawu Solutions”, “we”, “us”, “our”). For the purposes of the PDPA, we are the “data user” in relation to the personal data described in this Notice. You can reach us at [email protected]. This Notice covers both the web version of KiraKira (currently v1.4) and the mobile app for iOS and Android; where handling differs between them, that is stated expressly.
2. What Personal Data We Collect — and What We Don’t
KiraKira is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.
We do not collect:
• your name, email address, or phone number, unless you voluntarily type this into a bill, friend list, or payment detail field, or contact us directly;
• location data;
• analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data of any kind — KiraKira has no ads and no analytics SDKs.
We do process the following, as described further below:
(a) Bill, split, and friend data — the items, amounts, participant names, and payment details you enter are stored on your own device (mobile app) or within the specific web version’s own storage (web version). We do not transmit this information to our servers or see it, unless you choose to send it to us. On the mobile app, if backup is turned on for your device, your device’s operating system may include this information (including any payment QR image you save in the app) in a backup to your own Apple or Google account, and restore it when you reinstall the app or set up a new device. That backup is made by Apple or Google under your account and device settings; we do not receive it and cannot access it.
(b) Receipt images — if you use AI-assisted scanning, the photo is sent to Anthropic, PBC to extract items, prices, and rates. On the web version, this typically happens through your own Anthropic account, under Anthropic’s own privacy practices. On the mobile app, the image passes through our backend (hosted on Cloudflare, Inc.) and our own Anthropic account; we do not retain the image ourselves once scanning is complete. The mobile app also keeps a copy of the scanned photo on your own device for up to 7 days, so you can view or share the original alongside the bill; it is deleted automatically after that, is never backed up by us, is excluded from device backups, and never leaves your device unless you choose to share it.
(c) Device identifier and scan balances (mobile app only) — the app holds an anonymous, randomly generated device identifier (your “Device ID”). Our backend uses it solely to track your free monthly scan allowance and any purchased scan balance. It is not derived from your Apple ID, Google account, phone number, or any hardware identifier, and we cannot use it to identify you personally. It may be restored from your device backup as described in (a).
(d) Purchases — scan packs and tips (mobile app only) — Apple Inc. (on iOS) and Google (on Android) process all in-app purchases; we never receive your card or payment details. When you buy a scan pack, we receive confirmation of the purchase (the product bought, the store’s transaction reference — an Apple transaction ID or a Google Play order number and purchase token — and the Device ID it belongs to) via our purchase-validation provider, RevenueCat, Inc., so we can credit your scan balance and prevent the same purchase from being credited twice.
(e) Tips on the web version — where a tipping option is offered on the web version, the transaction occurs entirely between you and the third-party payment channel; see §8 for a note about reconciliation data your payment provider may attach.
3. How We Use Personal Data
We use the limited personal data described above solely to: operate the bill-splitting and AI-scanning features you actively use; administer scan allowances and credit scan-pack purchases; identify and reconcile a tip received; verify and process a balance-restoration request you make after reinstalling the app; and respond if you contact us. We do not use your personal data for marketing, do not add you to any mailing list, and do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
4. Who We Share Data With
We share personal data only with the service providers necessary to run KiraKira, each acting as a data processor on our behalf (or, in the case of Apple and Google, as independent payment processors):
Anthropic, PBC — processes receipt images to power AI-assisted scanning.
Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the backend server (mobile app only) that relays scan requests to Anthropic and maintains scan allowances and purchased balances against your Device ID.
RevenueCat, Inc. — validates in-app purchases (mobile app only). Your Device ID and store transaction references (Apple transaction IDs, or Google Play order numbers and purchase tokens) are shared with RevenueCat so that purchases can be verified and traced to the correct scan balance.
Apple Inc. and Google — process all in-app purchases — tips and scan packs — on the iOS and Android apps respectively; we do not see your card or payment details.
WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — only the content of a message you actively choose to send, to the recipient(s) you select; we don’t transmit anything to WhatsApp on your behalf without your action.
We do not otherwise share, sell, or disclose personal data to third parties, except where required by law.
5. Cross-Border Transfer
Anthropic’s, Cloudflare’s, and RevenueCat’s infrastructure may be located outside Malaysia. Where you make a purchase through Google Play or Apple’s In-App Purchase system, the payment is processed by Google or Apple under its own privacy policy, and its infrastructure may likewise be located outside Malaysia. Receipt images are processed transiently — used to extract data and not retained by us — so that transfer occurs only at the moment you choose to scan a receipt. Scan-balance and purchase-validation records held by Cloudflare and RevenueCat are limited to the anonymous Device ID and transaction references described above. Where such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to keep them consistent with Section 129 of the PDPA, including relying on these providers’ own data protection commitments and your consent, given by choosing to use the AI-scanning or purchase features.
6. Data Retention
Because bill, split, and friend data lives on your own device or within the web version’s own storage rather than on our servers, you control how long it’s kept — it stays until you delete it, clear your device/browser storage, or switch to a different version of KiraKira. On the mobile app, a copy may also be held in your device’s backup to your own Apple or Google account, for as long as that backup exists under your account settings. We do not retain receipt images ourselves once a scan is complete. Receipt photos kept on your device by the mobile app are deleted automatically after 7 days. Scan-balance records tied to your Device ID are kept for as long as needed to administer your allowance and any purchased balance. Records of purchases and tips received — including restoration markers that prevent the same purchase from being credited twice — are kept for as long as required for our accounting and tax obligations under Malaysian law.
7. Your Rights Under the PDPA
Because most of your data is stored on your own device rather than with us, you can exercise the practical equivalent of your PDPA rights directly — for example, by editing or deleting a bill, friend, or payment detail within the app. Where we do hold limited personal data (such as a purchase record, a Device ID balance, or a payment reference from a tip), you may write to us at [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or (subject to our accounting and tax obligations) deletion of that data, or to withdraw consent for us to process it. We will respond within the timeframe required by the PDPA.
8. Tips and Restoration Requests — Additional Notice
If you send a tip through a third-party payment channel on the web version, your payment provider may attach your registered name, phone number, or a reference message to the transaction, which then appears in our account statement. We use this information solely to identify and reconcile the tip received. Similarly, if you contact us to restore a purchased scan balance after reinstalling the app, we process the purchase receipt (Apple receipt or Google Play order number) and Device ID you provide solely to verify the purchase and credit the correct balance. In both cases, we do not use this information for marketing, do not add you to any mailing list, and do not share it with anyone except as required by law or for our own accounting and tax purposes.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited personal data we do handle, such as encrypting the connection between the app and our backend. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
KiraKira is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] so we can address it.
11. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice from time to time, for example as KiraKira’s features or underlying providers change. We’ll update the “Last Updated” date above when we do, and where a change is material, we’ll take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
12. Anthropic’s Own Policies
Because Anthropic processes receipt images on our behalf (and, on the web version, may do so under your own Anthropic account), its own Consumer Terms of Service, Usage Policy, and Privacy Policy also apply to that processing.
13. Contact Us
